Ticket confirmation

Your ticket is only confirmed once full payment has been successfully received. A confirmation email or ticket QR code will be sent to the email address provided during checkout.

Please ensure your name, email address, and ticket details are correct before completing your purchase.

Ticket transfer

Tickets are transferable unless stated otherwise. If you wish to transfer your ticket to someone else, you must update the attendee details or contact the organiser before the event.

The organiser may refuse entry if the ticket details cannot be verified.

Refunds

Tickets are generally non-refundable, except in the following cases:

A refund may be considered if the attendee is unable to attend due to a genuine emergency, supported by valid documentation such as a medical certificate, hospital letter, employer letter, or other reasonable proof.

A refund will also be provided if the event is cancelled by the organiser.

If the event date or venue is changed after your ticket purchase, you may request a refund if you are no longer able to attend the revised event.

All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the organiser. Refund approvals are at the organiser’s discretion, except where required by law.

Event changes

The organiser may make changes to the event schedule, speakers, agenda, venue layout, partners, sponsors, or programming where necessary.

Speaker changes, session changes, or agenda adjustments do not automatically qualify for a refund.

Entry requirements

Attendees must present a valid ticket, confirmation email, QR code, or other proof of purchase at registration.

The organiser reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any attendee who disrupts the event, harasses others, behaves abusively, damages property, violates venue rules, or fails to follow reasonable instructions from the organiser, crew, security, or venue staff.

Code of conduct

MALAIA26 is intended to be a respectful, inclusive, and professional environment.

Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, aggressive behaviour, unwanted solicitation, or inappropriate conduct towards attendees, speakers, sponsors, staff, or volunteers will not be tolerated.

The organiser may remove anyone who breaches this code of conduct without refund.

Media and photography

By attending MALAIA26, you acknowledge that photography, video recording, and livestreaming may take place during the event.

You grant the organiser permission to use event photos and videos that may include your image or likeness for marketing, documentation, social media, press, and future promotional purposes.

If you do not wish to be photographed directly, please inform the organiser at registration.

Personal data

By purchasing a ticket, you consent to the organiser collecting and using your personal information for ticketing, event registration, attendee communication, event operations, safety, and related administrative purposes.

Your information may be shared with necessary service providers such as ticketing platforms, payment processors, venue operators, and event partners where required to operate the event.

Payment and fees

Ticket prices may be subject to applicable taxes, platform fees, processing fees, or bank charges. These charges will be shown at checkout where applicable.

The organiser is not responsible for additional fees charged by your bank, card provider, or payment processor.

Liability

Attendees are responsible for their own belongings, travel arrangements, accommodation, and personal expenses.

The organiser is not liable for loss, theft, injury, travel disruption, accommodation costs, or other personal expenses, except where caused by the organiser’s proven negligence or where liability cannot be excluded by law.

Force majeure

The organiser is not responsible for delays, changes, postponement, or cancellation caused by events outside its reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, government restrictions, venue issues, public health emergencies, transport disruption, technical failures, or other unforeseen circumstances.

Agreement

By completing your ticket purchase, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these ticket purchase terms.
